How to Create and Write a Story for Elementary Aged Children

We are excited to share a unique collaboration with Courtney Hanks of Not Bad Design Co. with our families! Courtney has designed a three-part storybook project that elementary aged children can complete from home.

Courtney has created a tutorial that explains how to create a hardcover that can be accessed below as well as detailed instructions for creating the hardcover.

She also has created multiple downloadable PDFs with educational material about what a storybook is, how to determine a setting and characters, as well as providing a list of story ideas for your child to use to create their own, unique story.

In order to continue to service our community and exceptional families, Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children is waiving download fees for this incredible educational project. We do this in hopes that it will provide some extra happiness and stability to your exceptional child during this uncertain time. In lieu of any fees for the book, donations are always welcomed and appreciated so that we may continue to provide education, resources, and support for our families as they continue to navigate their own exceptional journey. Should you feel inclined to make a donation for the book, you can do so here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. Our Panelists are available to you and your family at any time to support you.
