How Can Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children Support You?

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your families! We have new followers and subscribers since we first launched in August 2019 and we'd love to share with you more about our organization and how we can support you and your family!

Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children is a non-profit organization (501c3) that believes it shouldn’t be challenging for families of children with exceptional needs to gather professional and accurate information about their child’s diagnosis.

At Collaborative Corner, our core value is to offer families the assistance they need at no charge to help their exceptional child. We strongly feel that families should not have to spend countless hours researching for answers that our panel of experts can answer very quickly and accurately. We are passionate in that the exceptional needs community is one not to be feared, but to be embraced and accepted. It is our pleasure to be that place of support for your exceptional family. Therefore, we offer families a wealth of free information all in one place.

Through both professional and personal experience, we are here to help families navigate their child’s exceptional needs, therapies, educational challenges, and more. Our panel consists of licensed and experienced industry professionals, educational advocates, and parents of exceptional children that can help families. Families have access to our panel members via email or phone call for free and can get answers to their questions in the following areas:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

  • Physical Therapy

  • Speech Language Pathology

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Feeding Therapy

  • Special Education

  • Educational Advocacy services, including 504s and IEPs

  • Parent Advocacy

  • Community Resources

Collaborative Corner has the unique ability to give families information and guidance about their child’s exceptional needs from the perspective of a variety of industry professionals and via the utilization of a multidisciplinary approach.

Many times, children with exceptional needs see a wide range of specialists and therapists, which can be both confusing and overwhelming for our families. At Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children, we are able to merge these specialties together by communicating the child’s need to each of our Panelists. This approach ensures that all areas of need are being considered and communicated. Although our Panelists are not treating children directly, they are offering the family a “road map” for their diagnosis with specific directions, resources, and information as it relates to their own individual journey.

We look forward to continuing to work with you all in 2020 and beyond. Should you have any questions, please visit our website at www.collaborativecorner.org where you can email any of our Panelists for support as needed, access local physicians and therapy locations, or read previous blog posts written by members of our Panel.
